What is 6+1 Traits of Writing?
The 6+1 Trait® Writing Model of Instruction & Assessment provides a common language for teachers and students to communicate about the characteristics of writing and establishes a clear vision of what good writing looks like. There are 6 traits of writing that authors use to make their writing better.
How do we use the Traits in our class?
Students learn about specific traits during mini-lessons and then explore published authors that have used the traits in their writing. Students are expected to write everyday! Each week, we will share our writing with our peers.
We use our VOICES to help us share our ideas effectively.

- S : Sentence Fluency
